Do you live in Germany and would like to participate in BauSongs? Apply here.

About BauSongs

The camp is inspired by the Danish folk high school tradition and brings together Danish and German songwriters, composers, and producers for a creative working week in Berlin, where new collaborations, songs, and professional networks emerge across languages, genres, and levels of experience.

As part of the programme, participants will also visit artists and music communities in Berlin and take part in artistic talks and inspirational excursions throughout the city.

BauSongs takes place in the studios of Bauteil3, located in the iconic former Tempelhof Airport, which today serves as a hub for creative and cultural activities. The studio days alternate between intensive songwriting sessions, feedback sessions, group listening, creative challenges, and changing collaborative group constellations.

The Mentors

BauSongs’ three mentors are Greta Schenk (GRETA), Kaspar Kaae (songwriter in CODY and film composer), and Michael Møller (moi Caprice and The Mountains). All three have a close connection to the Danish folk high school tradition through their teaching experience and possess extensive knowledge of Berlin and the ways the city can inspire the songwriting process.

All composers, songwriters, and producers based in Denmark or Berlin are welcome to apply. The camp is aimed at both emerging talents and established music creators.

In total 10 people can participate in BauSongs – 5 of them are reserved for participants from Denmark.
