Hits from Zakopane - Sangwriting Camp in Poland

June 2025 was all about Poland. ROSA hosted our Danish-Polish songwriting camp Hits from Zakopane and participated in the showcase and conference festival Music Week Poland.

At ROSA's songwriting camp "Hits from Zakopane" a multitude of new Danish-Polish songs were created and a multitude of new connections were forged. ROSA visited the camp before participating in the first edition of Music Week Poland in Warsaw – a showcase and conference festival that took place at different venues in the city and at The Polish History Museum.

12 Danish and Polish producers, songwriters and artists participated in the four-day songwriting camp in Zakopane.

The participants worked on the premise of curated briefs from both Polish and Danish pop artists, a Korean boyband and from several of the camp participants. This created the foundation for powerful songs and work relations with international potential.

Our Artistic Mentor of the camp, Marcus Winther-John says:

The combination of upcoming and established artists proved succesful. For example, Daria Marx (one of Poland's biggest pop artists) fell in love with songs written in collaboration with Danish writers and producers for her project.

We are excited to follow-up on the results of the camp: During the camp 17 new songs were written and produced in English and Polish and relations and collaborations were made reaching far beyond the four days in Zakopane. We are looking forward to the next step of finishing and pitching the songs – and not least to see how the new Danish-Polish connections develop.

A huge thank you goes out to our Polish collaborators: Culture Hub Poland / Music Export Poland, ZAiKS and Bettermaker and to the team of Music Week Poland, who created an inspiring week of music.
