Pop-Pilot Elektro
The electronic music camp Pop-Pilot Elektro created a creative and educative space for young girls, transpeople and non-binary who were curious about the electronic scene.
Pop-Pilot Elektro was ROSA's electronic music camps during which girls, transpeople and non-binary in the ages of 14 to 19 were introduced to electronic music. The camps were held from 2019 to 2023 and during the camp weekend participants were presented with tools to write and produce their own tracks.
The experienced music producers from Beats By Girlz were the camp coaches and roll models. The purpose of the camp was to establish skillsets and confidence regardless of gender and prior experience. In a cosy, safe and creative framework participants learned how to record with microphones and how to design sound in order to produce a track in the music programme Logic. Tracks that were introduced to friends and family at the end of the camp.
