The fine print

Service goals

A large network and in-depth knowledge of the environments within pop, rock, electronica, and related genres are the foundation for ROSA's work both in Denmark and abroad. At the same time, ROSA sees it as a core task to bridge the gap between established environments, new actors, trends, and society at large.
Based on this, ROSA strives to provide a service that meets the needs, dynamics, and development of the music environment, while also acting as a natural bridge to society more generally.
The current service objectives are reviewed annually to reflect the institution's actual circumstances and the feedback it receives.

ROSA operates according to the guidelines and procedures for handling conflicts of interest as set out by the Danish Arts Foundation.

If you are a collaborator and need to use our logo for communication, you can download it here on the website or contact us at info@rosa.org for more information on how to use it.

1. Inquiries

ROSA can be contacted by phone at +45 86128444, by email at info@rosa.org, via social media, or by post at:

ROSA
Godsbanen
Kjeld Tolstrups Gade 1
DK-8000 Aarhus C

The office in Aarhus is open on weekdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Response times:
For inquiries via email, you can expect an average response time of two days – often less. If a comprehensive answer requires ROSA to obtain information from an external source, the response time may be longer. In such cases, we will ensure that we keep you updated on the process.
Inquiries via social media are answered to a limited extent.

2. Service options for various user groups

Applications:
Support schemes for national and international transport subsidies can be applied for online, after which a specialist panel will assess the applications and make recommendations to ROSA.
Responses to applications are communicated online.
Granted approvals are published quarterly on the website.

Inquiries regarding collaborations and projects:
ROSA is happy to engage in both large and small collaborations that benefit the Danish music scene and align with the strategically formulated visions, objectives, and focus areas.
The secretariat manages collaborations and joint projects in accordance with the approved budget and the framework set by ROSA's board.

Advisory Services:
ROSA offers advice on career planning and project collaborations and is also available for any matters that promote Danish music life, including advice on available funding options.

Foreign actors:
An English version of ROSA’s purpose, activities, and current projects is available on the website for use in connection with collaborative projects and outreach abroad.

Journalists, researchers, etc.:
ROSA makes its knowledge available to journalists, researchers, students, and others who need insight into the music of the genre area or contact with actors in the field (see also under "Network").

Network:
ROSA is happy to share information about national and international contacts, professional networks, organizations, and more with soloists, orchestras, and others where possible, and where the relevant partners are willing to have their information shared.

3. Delimitation and clarification of genres and affiliations

All inquiries related to grants, projects, advice, or other matters are assessed individually in relation to the relevant genre affiliation.
If the music related to the inquiry is not considered to fall within ROSA's genre area (including related genres), ROSA will refer the inquiry to the appropriate body. A similar practice is followed by other genre organizations, and the genre organizations are collectively committed to handling all inquiries within the combined genre areas.

4. The principle of equality, impartiality, and transparency in administration

ROSA follows standard administrative principles in all its activities, including the principle of equality and the principles of impartiality and transparency in management.

5. Communication - Public and Music Industry

ROSA communicates knowledge about rock, pop, and related genres – the artists, activities, operators, etc. – through the organization’s website, newsletters, and social media.
Much of the communication happens through projects and networks – both own and others'.
In collaboration with composers and musicians, organizations, the music industry, genre organizations, the live scene, and other partners, ROSA strives to contribute to the dissemination and recognition of Danish music life – both nationally and internationally.
