Hits from Zakopane: Danish-Polish Songwriting Camp
12. maj 2025
Culture Hub Poland, Society of Authors ZAiKS and ROSA invite you to the very first edition of Hits from Zakopane – an intensive and inspiring writing camp where both emerging and established artists, topliners, and producers from Denmark and Poland come together to create new music at a professional level.

From June 22–26, six Danish and six Polish participants, selected through an open call, will collaborate in dynamic sessions, network, exchange ideas – and, most importantly, write and produce new music with international potential in idyllic surroundings in Zakopane in Poland.
The camp is a great opportunity to challenge your creative development – but also for creating real opportunities to get your music out into the world.
“The goal is both to build new international networks and to create concrete opportunities for releasing new music in the respective music markets,” says Marcus Winther-John, the Danish artistic mentor of the camp and an experienced songwriter.
Marek Hojda, the experienced camp organiser adds “I truly believe that the Polish-Danish collaboration will not only lead to great songs, but also foster long-lasting creative relationships and valuable knowledge exchange between our music communities."
Why should you participate in Hits from Zakopane?
You’ll have the chance to collaborate and network with experienced artists, topliners and producers from both Denmark and Poland.
You’ll receive input and inspiration for your songwriting process.
You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with collaborative processes.
You’ll be a part of cultural exchange and growth: gain insights into both the Danish and Polish music industries and cultures.
Practical:
The camp takes place from June 22–26, with arrival and meet-up on June 21. We are looking for 2 topliners, 2 producers, and 2 artists from each country.
